X-rays

Hazleton Imaging is the area’s only facility to offer a new technology called “Rapidscreen” which can detect cancer earlier than ever.
Hazleton Imaging Center is the area’s only facility to offer RapidScreen®, the first and only FDA-approved chest X-ray computer-aided detection (CAD) system specifically designed for the detection of early-stage lung cancer.

RapidScreen®, a product of Riverain Medical, identifies suspicious nodules in the lung that appear on routine chest X-rays. These areas are identified to the radiologist, who can then make recommendations to the patient and their physician for further testing.

“RapidScreen® helps us detect areas of concern within the lung that previously may not have been detected and could indicate early stage lung cancer,” said Hazleton Imaging Center’s Dr. Larry Braunstein. “Detecting lung cancer early enough increases the survival rate dramatically, and RapidScreen® is an ideal instrument to aid in early detection.”
